Seal Windows & Doors
When it gets cold out there, the pests like to come inside where it is warmer. Don’t make it easy for them to get inside your home by leaving windows and door cracks open. Gaps under doors or holes in exterior walls are easy ways for pests to get inside. The good news is that when it is cold, it is easier to tell if there are openings by feeling the cold air coming inside. Take your time and seal up all of these openings.
Take Out The Trash
Starting with Thanksgiving, many of us have a lot more food in the house. This means the kitchen trash bin will also get filled a little more often. Make sure that you take out the trash regularly so that it does not attract roaches and other pests. Also, don’t forget to check and clean your dishwasher for food particles. Sometimes food gets stuck in the bottom of the dishwasher and it becomes a very loud dinner bell for pests.
Cookies Are For Santa
Make sure that all of the cookies are cleaned up after Santa, because pests may like cookies too.
